World Justice Challenge 2024

International recognition for the Leaders for Justice project! The KAS Rule of Law Programme South East Europe was in the final round of the World Justice Challenge in Chicago, which brings together experts from different areas of law and promotes dialogue and cooperation between the legal professions.

On 1 August, Doru Toma and Dr Pavel Usvatov presented the ‘Leaders for Justice’ project at the World Justice Challenge in Chicago. The World Justice Project selected 30 of the most innovative and impactful projects from a total of 424 applications from 109 countries. ‘Leaders for Justice’ is one of the seven finalists in the “Youth Engagement” category.

The event took place as part of the annual congress of the American Bar Association. The Polish Minister of Justice, Adam Bodnar, opened the programme and paid tribute to the work of the organisations that reached the final.

The KAS Rule of Law Programme South East Europe is now part of the worldwide network of the WorldJusticeProject. The network connects organisations working to promote the rule of law around the world. It offers its members international visibility, exchange of experience and opportunities for cross-border cooperation.
